Belgrade, Dec. 24
This year the anniversary of St. Nicholas, being organized for many years now by the Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade, was celebrated on December 24. One of the most loved and heartfelt children’s feasts in Serbia has been postponed for three weeks because of the extended and important renovation of the Church “Christ the King” which is the sacred place where the event takes place.
Thus, the Archbishop Mons. Stanislav Hocevar thought of joint celebration of Holy Christmas and Saint Nicholas, preceded by the Holy Mass.
In line with tradition, our Embassy wanted to be close to children of the Diocese and this year has donated lots of toys which came from Italy and have aroused joy of little guests. Then, the celebration was held thanks to support and contribution of Italian friends who are always close to the Order’s commitment in Serbia.
