The Ambassador Alberto di Luca went to Zrenjanin to meet with the vertices of the The Relief Organisation of the Order of Malta that operates from Zrenjanin in northern Serbia, where he was warmly welcomed by President Padre Tibor KONCZ, the pastor of Kikindaenjanin and the Secretary General Mrs. Hajnal STOCKER KECSKEMET. Also present His Excellency the Bishop of Zrenjanin Mons. Ladislav Nemet.
On that occasion, the Ambassador Alberto di Luca has warmly complimented the President and all of those who cooperated with him, for the long and exemplary commitment inspired by values that guided, for over 900 years, the Sovereign Order.
The long desired signature of the bilateral humanitarian cooperation between the Order and Serbia, currently in the final stages of definition between the respective Ministries, will represent a new and more favorable legal framework for the further expansion of significant beneficial activities that the Association realized in Zrenjanin with the generous support of Malteser International and important donations, organized by the Order, from Austria, Germany and Hungary. Indeed, under the proposed Agreement, standards will be provided for simplification of procedures and for exemption of customs charges which will facilitate better development of these humanitarian activities.
