Belgrade, Christmas 2020
“Make a WISH to the Sovereign Order of Malta” continues its engagement
and collects children’s wishes from Serbia even in the time of Covid-19.The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Belgrade wants to participate, together with HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic and Princess Katarina, in the common aim of making Christmas sweet and with special greetings to kids in Children’s Homes.
Their Royal Highnesses Karadjordjevic host the traditional Christmas reception for orphaned children from all over Serbia every year at the White Palace to celebrate the holiday season. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, it was not possible to organize the traditional reception, thus our thoughts will reach children at their Homes so they do not feel abandoned.
The project “Make a WISH” was launched after the catastrophic floods that hit Serbia in 2014, in collaboration with HRH Crown Prince Alexander II Karadjordjevic with the intention of helping the unfortunate children living in the areas most affected by the floods. In full harmony, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II Karadjordjevic – Patron of the “Make a WISH” project in Serbia in 2015 – together with Ambassador di Luca (both members of the Sovereign Order of Malta) launched numerous initiatives, including Charity dinner in the Principality of Monaco.
