The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta – as part of the “Make a WISH to the Order of Malta” project – accepted an invitation in 2022 to build a multipurpose sports field in Bač. A crucial step was to gather the necessary funds to realize this much-desired project for the children of Bač. Therefore, the Charity Dinner on November 25th in Milan played a vital role.
The construction of the sports field is part of a larger project to build the House of Encounters “Paul VI” in the Roman-Catholic parish of St. Paul in Bač.
This small town is located in northern Serbia, where in 1234 the Knights of St John (today the Sovereign Order of Malta) built the first hospital in this part of the world.
The work has now begun and is expected to be completed by the first week of June.
