The devastating event that struck families and businesses in Emilia Romagna a little over a month ago has prompted a “Make a WISH to the Order of Malta” initiative at the Embassy. On May 22nd, we launched a fundraising campaign aimed at those who, in Serbia or elsewhere, wanted to offer tangible support to the flood-affected communities.
We received a significant contribution which we directed to the CISOM (Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta) considering its rich history, expertise, and operational capabilities. Thanks to the personal availability of the Extraordinary Delegate Prince Don Benedetto Barberini and the CISOM coordinator for the Emilia Romagna region, we can now inform our benefactors that the support project is operational.
