Sremcica, December 2016

One of the most requested WISHES by the kids of the Orphanage of Sremcica was a Minibus to enable them to commute to schools, sports halls or even “just” to be able to see the outside world with its cultural and sporting events, or even have the opportunity to learn about new places impossible for them to see without adequate means of transport.

The fulfillment of this important WISH was done thanks to the generosity of the Government of Taipei made possible, once again, through its Representative office in Budapest.
A continuing fruitful collaboration part of a wider context that has seen the realization, over the last three years, of many humanitarian and medical mutual projects, between the Order and Taiwan, El Salvador, Vietnam, Bulgaria and Italy.
The simple yet heartfelt ceremony of delivery of the vehicle to the Director of the Center, Ms. Aleksandra Trifkovic, was attended by Taiwan Representative in Hungary, H.E. Ambassador Wen-lung Tao and, on behalf of the Order, by Ambassador Alberto di Luca.
The two Ambassadors, together with their collaborators, visited the center giving particular attention to the areas dedicated to the formation of the children and their manual labor in arts and crafts.
Soon there will be the final round of the Make a WISH 2016 project with the delivery of a large amount of clothing imported from Italy thanks to the generosity of the Italian company Original Marines.
