For the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Belgrade, the Monastery of St.Petka in Izvor, in particular – Center run by orthodox nuns, is a true example of human solidarity, spiritual sensitivity and concrete social commitment which bonds them to the mission and scope of the Maltese Order.

Generous attention and support offered to the Monastery and the Center, in year 2016, by donors from Monaco, “Forgotten Fund” of the Maltese Order and our friend – Government of Taiwan, under the “Make a WISH” Project, has inspired us and gave us the incentive to continue the fraternal collaboration with this charitable and religious Institution taking care of 92 girls with severe developmental problems.

Thanks to the determination and help of Delegazione Lombarda (Italy) of the Sovereign Order of Malta, a certain amount of rice has been recently sent, cleared through customs and delivered to the Monastery in Izvor.
