The humanitarian mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta, in its nearly thousand years of history, has stood by culture.
It is for that purpose that, for the second year in a row, the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Serbia will organize its traditional annual feast – official occasion to receive the institutional, political, religious and academic authorities of the country as well as the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Belgrade – at the National Theatre of Belgrade.
Wednesday, June 22nd, on the prestigious stage of the historic Theatre, two famous artists, soprano Elena Mosuc and baritone Alberto Gazale, will interpret the Opera “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi.
The Artistic Director of the Theatre, Maestro Dejan Savic, has taken this opportunity to include in the program of the theater two world-renowned performers and, simultaneously, to combine the event with concrete cooperation with the humanitarian and social initiatives promoted by the Order of Malta in Serbia.DSC00030
Maestro Savic and Ambassador Alberto di Luca have agreed that part of the collected funds from ticket sales will go to the support of the project “Make a WISH to the Sovereign Order of Malta” for orphans, adolescents and youth with mental and physical disabilities housed in the centers  of  Sremcica and Izvor.
