With the Croatian Ambassador Markotic, distinguished relations between the Sovereign Order of Malta and Croatia were stated with contentment on both sides. The main issue was the common interest in the actual Balkan route of numerous refugees and immigrants coming from the Middle East, transiting through Serbia and Croatia and proceeding towards Germany and Northern Europe.

Talks with the Austrian Ambassador Eigner focused on historical and centuries-old relations between Vienna and the Order of Malta and their numerous mutual humanitarian actions. Furthermore, the Ambassador Eigner took interest in the new Project “Make a WISH 2017” presented by the Ambassador Alberto di Luca and congratulated the success of two previous editions.
