Today, as every year, the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta “participated” with St. Nicholas in providing gifts for children on his Day. In the Franciscan Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Belgrade, a ceremony was held where St. Nicholas met the children. The children’s joy was increased by the big snow that fell in Belgrade on that day.
On June 28, in the gardens of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belgrade, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso hosted a reception to celebrate the National Day of the Order of Malta.
On the afternoon of June 27, Ambassador Francesco Maria Amoruso attended Mass at the Co-Cathedral of Christ the King in Belgrade. The service was concelebrated by H.E. Mons. Ladislav Nemet, Archbishop of Belgrade, in the presence of 36 bishops, as part of the Council of the Bishops' Conferences of Europe.
In the presence of the Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Francesco Maria Amoruso, the inauguration ceremony of the new group therapy room was held at the Kovin Psychiatric Hospital, the largest psychiatric facility in the country with over 1,000 beds.
