Milan, Italy, April 30
After a long illness, a friend of the Sovereign Order of Malta left us: Mino Raiola dies aged 54. He was considered the most important agent in the world of football, but for us he was a careful observer of people who suffer, children in particular. He supported some Charity initiatives of our Embassy and was ready to support the ambitious project concerning the construction of a soccer field for children in Bac (North of Serbia). The sad news his family announced on Twitter: “In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing Football Agent that ever was. Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realized it. Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will forever be missed. Mino’s mission of making football a better place for players will continue with the same passion”. We will also miss him especially for his human values and his generous sympathy.
